India happened to be the second country in the world to play Golf, preceding the United Kingdom. The British gifted India with both Cricket and Golf. Golf in India grew amidst the lush green farms; soothing landscape and has a long history, going back to 1829, when the Royal Calcutta Golf Club, the oldest golf club in the world, outside of Great Britain was formed.

Most of the Golf courses that have been developed in India are surrounded by natural beauty; the only thing visible till the sight may reach is the green grass. India offers a variety of choices for Golfers. No matter what the attraction and where ever you visit, there are interesting golf possibilities nearby. DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI

Arrive at New Delhi airport. Meet & greet our representative at the airport and get transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the capital city on your own..
Delhi is the capital of India not only a city but a book that narrates the history of India. The city was built and destroyed seven times and has witnessed various events in its past. Today, it stands as the capital of India like an administrator and home to some of the world heritage monuments that unfold the saga of a bygone era. These icons are the testimony to the grandeur of past and also an attraction for the tourists.

DAY 2: IN DELHI

Golf Course - Jaypee Greens is India's first 18-hole Golf Course championship designed by the legendary Greg Norman. The Golf Course is spread over 452 acres of land. In addition to it is its 72 par course which is one of Asia’s longest Golf course standing at 7347 yards. There are 14 shimmering lakes & water bodies along with 88 snow-white bunkers that offer breathtaking views of this lush green golf course.

An Indian Pro shall brief you about the whereabouts of the game after which you can try your hand at the game. Later, proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Delhi. Drive past the Red Fort built in the year 1648 by Shah Jahan (Remains closed on Monday). Visit the Raj Ghat, memorial of the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

Later visit the Jama Masjid - the largest mosque of India and drive past the India Gate, the "Arc-de-Triomphe of India that stands tall like an archway in the middle of a crossroad commemorating the Indian soldiers who laid their lives in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. Around 80,000 names of the soldiers have been inscribed on the walls of the India Gate. Drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India that was earlier known as the Viceroy's House.

DAY 3: DELHI - AGRA (BY ROAD: 220 KMS/5 HRS APPROX)
Post breakfast set out for another session of Golf. Later drive to Agra. .

AGRA: The magical allure of the Taj Mahal draws tourists to Agra like moths to a wondrous flame. But the Taj is not only the stand-alone attraction of Agra. The legacy of the Mughal Empire left a magnificent fort and a liberal sprinkling of fascinating tombs and mausoleums .

Visit the Taj Mahal during full moon. The seventh wonder of world, the Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal by the banks of river Yamuna. The monument took almost 22 years to build and was completed in 1653. Around 20,000 workers from all over the country and Central Asia were recruited to build this symbol of love. (TAJ MAHAL remains closed on Fridays)

DAY 4: AGRA-JAIPUR EN-ROUTE VISITING FATEHPUR SIKRI (BY ROAD - 245 KMS/6-7 HRS DRIVE APPROX)

Early morning proceed for the visit of Taj Mahal during sunrise. Return hotel for breakfast.
Later check-out of the hotel and proceed to visit the Agra Fort - The foundation of the massive fort was laid by Emperor Akbar in 1565. The high red stone monument stretches for around 2.5 kms, dominating a bend in the river Yamuna northwest of the Taj Mahal.
The palace is a noted for its smooth blending of Hindu and central Asian architectural styles. The Diwan-i-Am (the hall of public audiences), and the Diwan-i-Khas (the Hall of Private Audience), the Khas Palace (the private palace was used by emperor as a sleeping chamber), the Sheesh Mahal (palace of Mirrors), the Shah Jahani Mahal (Shahjahan’s Palace), Jahangiri Mahal (Jahangir’s Palace) and the Akbari Mahal (Akbar’s palace) are the fascinating palaces inside the fort. From the rear of Diwan-i-Khas a door leads to Mussaman Burj, a two storey pavilion, where Shahjahan was imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb in his old age.
Later, continue drive to Jaipur en-route stopping at the "Korai village”, a small hamlet nestled in Agra and a must visit. Get glimpses of the daily life of the tribals. This village belongs to bear rearers whose only source of livelihood is through bear and monkey dances. Later visit Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri- 37 Kms from of Agra is the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri- built in red sandstone by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and deserted 14 years later because its water supply failed. Its glorious courtyards and palaces conjure up dreams of the mysterious past. Visit the Buland Darwaza, the imperial Jami Masjid, tomb of Shaik Salim Chisti and the Panch Mahal.
Later drive to Jaipur, the Pink city known so for the color of the stone used exclusively in the architecture of the city. Jaipur was planned based on the principles of Vastu shastra and Shilpa Shastra.

DAY 5: IN JAIPUR

Post breakfast visit the Rambagh Golf Club for a game of Golf.

Rambagh Golf Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious of Golf Clubs in India which is affiliated to the Indian Golf Union. The Golf Course is playable all-round the year.
Later, visit the Jantar Mantar, the largest stone astronomical observatory in the world. The observatory has fourteen statistical instruments for measuring time, predicting eclipses and to ascertain other astronomical events. Visit the Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds.
It has a pyramid-shaped facade with five stories and 953 small windows decorated with tiny latticework. The air circulation through the windows represents the marvelous touch of Mughal designing, which keeps the Palace cool. Visit the City Palace, the complex covers a huge area, which is divided into a series of gardens, courtyards and buildings.
Take a stroll in the evening into the colorful bazaars of Jaipur offering a true experience of the city's long-standing tradition of craftsmanship. Don’t miss to buy some famous gemstones of Jaipur which are mined in the area.

DAY 6: JAIPUR - KOLKATA (BY FLIGHT - 20.30 - 22.45)

Post breakfast visit the Amber Fort. The fort is built in white marble and red sandstone and the interiors provide a soothing and warm ambience. Take an elephant ride while ascending the fort. Get the opportunity to see the vibrant Jaipur through the amazing balloon ride. (Optional, If you are travelling in Hot Air balloon Safari season).

DAY 7: KOLKATA

Post breakfast; get an opportunity to play a game of Golf at Kolkata Golf Course. The Royal Calcutta Golf Club is the oldest golf club outside the United Kingdom and is the second-oldest outside Scotland. The oldest club outside Scotland is The Royal Blackheath in London, established in 1766.

Later go shopping in the local markets in the city of joy. Get a glance of the traditional woven textiles, terracotta art work, and your favorite novels. The bazaars of Kolkata are full of color, sound and the tantalizing smells of sizzling food.

DAY 8: KOLKATA

In the morning, head to the Royal Calcutta golf club. This 18-hole course offers beautiful views amongst a great golfing experience. Royal Calcutta Golf Club affectionately known as the "Royal" is synonymous with the game of golf in this country.
Later visit the Mother Teresa Foundation, a non - government development organization working towards the unwanted, uncared and unloved in the society. The Foundation has been concentrating in the field of education and health of the poor in various ways. Visit the Victoria memorial, built to commemorate the peak reign of the British Empire in India. Lord Curzon, the Viceroy specified its classical style but the actual plan of Victoria Memorial was laid down by the well-known architect, Sir William Emerson.

The Victoria Memorial blends the best of the British and Mughal architecture. Get an opportunity to visit the Indian Museum that keeps intact heritage and culture of India. Founded in 1814 at the cradle of the Asiatic Society of Bengal (at the present building of the Asiatic Society, 1 Park Street, Kolkata), Indian Museum is the earliest and the largest multipurpose museum in the Asia-Pacific region of the world.

DAY 9: KOLKATA - SUNDARBANS (109 KM/2.5 HRS)

Post breakfast, drive to the Sundarbans, a natural region comprising southern Bangladesh and a small part in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world.
On arrival, check-in to the resort. This eco resort & life experience center offers accommodation in ethnic cottages made from locally available material in rural style of architecture. The resort is partially powered by solar energy with safe drinking water and offers simple & palatable local food. Visit the local market and the villages. Enjoy the infotainment by the local villagers.

DAY 10: SUNDARBANS - KOLKATA (109 KM/2.5 HRS)

Post breakfast; take a village walk followed by adventure boating in manually oared country boat. Head into the vast Sundarban forest the largest mangrove forests in the world, to catch glimpses of the Royal Bengal Tiger.

Later, drive to Kolkata. Get on time departure transfer to Kolkata Airport to board flight back to home.
