Gir National Park is haven of wildlife. With bountiful flora and fauna, jungle safaris in Gir is quite gripping. Shore Temple in Somnath with 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva is revered among Hindus. Buddhist rock-cut caves at Junagarh are thronged for impeccable architecture and holiness.


Day 01 Arrive at Rajkot & drive to Sasangir (165kms; 3hrs approx.)

Gets holidays representative will welcome you post arrival at the airport. Drive straight to Sasangir, which is the only home in India for the Asiatic Lion. There are more than 300 lions on prowl.. The Gir National Park lies in the Gujarat. The rugged terrain with low hills and the vegetation is mixed deciduous, with stands of Teak, acacia, jamun, tendu and dhak trees, is criss-crossed by grasslands.
Upon arrival Sasangir around noon, you will check-in at a hotel and relax.
Later in afternoon, enjoy a safari in Gir National Park.
Overnight in Sasangir.

Day 02 Sasangir
After breakfast proceed for a morning safari in Gir National Park. Post lunch you are at leisure; later in afternoon you will undertake a jungle safari.

Day 04 Sasangir-Somnath-Junagadh-Rajkot (258kms)

After breakfast drive to Rajkot en route visit of Somnath Temple and Junagadh.

The shore temple of Somnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva .
The revered temple on the western coast of India was Looted, destroyed and rebuilt several times. It represents the strength of the Indian society. The present splendid structure was Shree Somnath is first among the twelve Aadi Jyotirlings of India.
Later continue drive to Junagadh.

The Buddhist caves of Junagarh are examples of rock cut architecture with ornamented pillars, arches , water cisterns, chaitya hall, monastic cells for meditation and chaitya windows. The Adi-Kadi Vav(15th century) has a long flight of 120 steps leading to water. Also the 3630 ft Girnar Mountain is the major tourist attraction. Beautifully carved Jain Temple is at 600ft. Famous Naminath, 22nd tirthankara marble temple is also here. Other temples here are Dattatreya temple,Amba Mata temple 1 atop hills. Gorakhnath Peak is placed at 3666ft. Visitors have to climb 5,500 steps to reach the hilltop.
All the Jain temples dedicated to the Tirthankars are a must see. But the Neminath temple , made of black marble, and adorned with beautifully carved sculptures and engravings. This temple attracts the maximum number of devotees.

There is also one of the famous Rock Edicts of King Asoka, at the foot of one of the hills.
Later continue drive to Rajkot Airport to take a flight for onward destination; henceforth our services terminate and we wish you safe, happy journey back to your home.
